We are delighted to announce the grand opening of our second Disability Centre, The ARC 2. This will focus on Education & Transition, incorporating Social Enterprise and Performing Arts. This centre represents a significant step forward in supporting individuals with disabilities as they navigate the journey towards independent living, further education, and meaningful community participation.
About the Centre
The ARC 2 is designed to cater to the diverse needs of adults with disabilities. Our mission is to provide a holistic, person-centred approach, equipping service users with the knowledge, confidence, and skills necessary for a fulfilling, independent life.
Core Programmes and Services
- Educational Support: Tailored learning programmes focusing on academic skills, functional literacy and numeracy, digital literacy, and lifelong learning opportunities.
- Housing Transition Services: Guidance and training for those moving from family homes or residential care into supported or independent living, including tenancy management, budgeting, and advocacy.
- Life Skills Development: Instruction and practical experiences in daily living skills such as cooking, personal care, travel training, and community safety.
- Vocational Preparation: Support for entering employment, volunteering, or further training, including CV workshops, interview practice, and workplace readiness.
- Social and Recreational Activities: Opportunities to build friendships, engage in hobbies, and participate in inclusive community events.
- Nutrition guidance, meal preparation and the necessary cooking skills to sustain a balanced and economical diet.
Facilities
Our new centre features modern, accessible classrooms, training kitchen, home simulation, sensory spaces, and outdoor recreation areas. Every aspect has been designed in consultation with people with lived experience of disability, ensuring accessibility and comfort for all.
Who Can Benefit?
The centre welcomes individuals with a wide range of disabilities, from physical and sensory to intellectual and neurodiverse conditions. We work closely with families, carers, schools, and community partners to ensure a smooth transition and ongoing support at every stage.

- Location: 12 Eccleston Street, Prescot.
The opening event will include guided tours of the facility, interactive workshops, speeches from service users and local leaders, and light refreshments. All are welcome to attend and learn more about our vision for an inclusive future.
