What the Service Offers
Routine Foot Care & Nail Cutting
Our visiting chiropodist provides professional nail cutting and general foot maintenance — treatments that are simple but can make a significant difference to daily comfort and mobility, particularly for those who struggle to manage foot care independently.
Assessment & Podiatry Advice
Each visit includes a full assessment of the feet and lower limbs, with professional advice tailored to the individual. Common issues such as corns, calluses, verrucas, ingrown toenails and skin conditions can all be assessed and treated as appropriate.
Subsidised Treatments
All treatments provided through The ARC's Chiropody Service are offered at a subsidised rate, making professional foot care accessible for members and their families. Full pricing details are available on request — please contact Vikki Flynn for more information.
Bi-Monthly Appointments
Our chiropodist visits The ARC on a bi-monthly basis, providing a regular and reliable appointment schedule. This frequency ensures that foot health can be properly maintained and monitored over time, with continuity of care from the same trusted practitioner.

Appointments take place right here at The ARC — an environment our members know and trust. For many individuals, receiving healthcare in a familiar, supportive setting removes a significant amount of anxiety and makes the experience far more comfortable than visiting an unfamiliar clinic.
What to Expect at Your Appointment
A Warm Welcome
You'll be greeted by our team on arrival and guided through to the treatment area. We'll make sure you and your family member feel relaxed and comfortable before the appointment begins. There's no rush — we work at the pace that suits you.
Initial Assessment
Your chiropodist will start with a brief consultation to understand any concerns, medical history relevant to foot health, and what treatments are needed. This ensures that every appointment is fully tailored to the individual's needs.
Treatment & Aftercare Advice
Following the assessment, treatment will be carried out professionally and gently. Your chiropodist will also provide aftercare advice and recommendations for home foot care between appointments, helping to maintain good foot health day to day.

The service is available to all members of The ARC Activity & Education Centre. Whether foot care is something you've previously struggled to access, or you simply want the convenience and comfort of receiving treatment in a familiar place, our Chiropody Service is here for you.
Parents & Carers
Parents and carers are also welcome to take advantage of the service during the chiropodist's visit. We understand the demands of caring for a loved one and want to make it as easy as possible for families to look after their own health too — all in one convenient visit.
