Take a look at another packed week of activities at The ARC
As part of our AQA awards , our members will be learning how to knit, crochet, embroider and use a sewing machine . These long forgotten life skills not only provide enjoyment but therapy, improved dexterity and a much needed natter .
Our Learning Disability Mentor’s Sophie, Stuart, Danny & Suzanne are in Blackpool, attending the Disability Conference advocating for the ARC . We are so proud of them as they continue their journey towards Independence. Thank you
The ARC enjoy amateur dramatics and this video showcases our latest production.
The staff and members of The ARC give their take on the Peter Kay/Tony Christie ‘Is This The Way To Amarillo’
Each month we have a Men In Barbers day. Our local barber opens up to allow all of our members to enjoy a great cut and shave experience . Facilitated by our very own Mark , means there is just one less job four our parents and carers
The ARC collaborates with many other disability services and projects to promote social interaction, confidence and companionship. We put physical activity high on our list , which runs in conjunction with our healthy lifestyle projects and well being sessions.
This year the ARC organised its first all inclusive holiday , where parents, carers and members could enjoy an amazing subsidised break with group support and companionship . This trip was so successful we have already booked Haven 2025
