Knowsley Safeguarding Adults Board Annual Report 2026/27

Knowsley Safeguarding Adults Board Annual Report 2026/27

The Knowsley Safeguarding Adults Board has published its latest annual report, outlining the progress the Board made last year and setting out the Board’s vision, structure and priorities for 2026/27.

The Board has the statutory responsibility for ensuring that all partners in Knowsley work together to safeguard adults who have care and support needs. It does this by holding partners to account and by monitoring and evaluating the work done.

The Board’s vision is “that all residents live their lives free from violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation, and their rights are protected.”

The Board focussed on three key priorities:-

  • Ensuring KSAB governance and arrangements remain fit for purpose
  • Learning and evaluating from experience
  • Providing assurance that safeguarding adults activity is effective and person‑centred

These have been progressed through a number of ways including the development of policies, procedures and guidance documents; learning from Safeguarding Adult Reviews and sharing best practice and engaging with residents to co-produce resources; and ensure the voice of the adult is heard.

In 2026/2027, the Board will focus on three key priorities:-

  • Prevention and Early Intervention
  • Assurance, impact and accountability
  • Building trust and confidence with communities and the workforce
